Software Engineer & Architect

I'm Daniel Valdivia, building the infrastructure layer that makes everything else possible. At MinIO, I designed Kubernetes-native storage at scale — from operators and consoles to enterprise architecture. Previously led ML at Espressive, R&D at ServiceNow and Oracle.

Building things
that scale.

I love software and everything involved in making it work — from Neural Networks and AI/ML pipelines to Distributed Systems and Cloud infrastructure, down to Mobile and Web UI.

Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, I studied Computer Technologies Engineering at ITESM before making my way to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I've spent my career pushing the boundaries of cloud-native infrastructure.

"From the kernel to the UI — if it's part of the stack, I want to understand it."

Outside of work I explore tech history, shoot film on my Leica, and will always find time to discuss technology with curious people.
